Classification and introduction of forging forming technology

Steel is the basis of social development, forging plant forging forming technology, refers to the forging (parts, workpiece) after forming, only a small amount of processing or no processing, can be used as mechanical components of the forming technology. In practice, people used to divide the precision forging technology into cold precision forging, hot precision forging, warm precision forging, compound forming, block forging, isothermal forging, fractional forging and so on.
1, cold forging forming
Forging plant will not be heated metal materials directly forging, mainly including cold extrusion and cold upsetting extrusion. Cold precision forging technology is more suitable for many varieties and small batch production, mainly used to manufacture various parts of automobiles, motorcycles and some tooth parts.
2, hot forging forming
It mainly refers to the precision forging process above the recrystallization temperature. Closed die forging is mostly used in hot precision forging, which requires high precision of die and equipment. The volume of billet must be strictly controlled during forging, otherwise it is easy to produce large pressure inside the die. Therefore, the principle of shunt depressurization is usually used to solve this problem when designing closed die forging. At present, most of the straight bevel gears used in heavy trucks in China are produced by this method.

3, temperature precision forging

It is a precision forging process under a suitable temperature below the recrystallization temperature. However, the forging temperature of warm forging is narrow, and it has high requirements on the mechanics of die materials and die itself, so special high-precision forging equipment is usually needed. Warm fine forging technology is generally suitable for mass production, forging medium yield strength materials.

4, composite forming
It mainly combines cold, warm and hot forging processes to achieve the desired results. Composite forming is a standard forging method for high strength parts such as gears and pipe joints.

5, block forging

Is in the close concave die through one or two punch unidirectional or bidirectional compound extrusion metal forming, to obtain no flaying edge of the forging process. Mainly used in the production of bevel gear, car constant speed universal joint star sleeve, pipe joint, cross shaft, bevel gear and other products

6, isothermal forging

The forging works forge the billets at a constant temperature. Used for deformation temperature sensitive, difficult to form metal materials and parts, such as titanium alloy, aluminum alloy, thin web, high bar.

7, shunting forging

Forging plant will be blank or mold forming part to establish a material shunting cavity or shunting channel, to ensure the material filling effect. Split forging is mainly used in cold forging of spur and helical gears.
