Brush plating, like electroplating, is a process of metal electrodeposition. Brush plating, plating pen is connected to the dc power supply anode, forgings are connected to the negative pole, the anode coated with electrolyte on the surface of the forgings for relative movement, at this time the anode and cathode are in the plating solution, receiving the recovery of brush plating solution, and continuous supply of anode electrolyte, metal ions in the plating solution is reduced to metal coating on the surface of the forgings.
Brush plating has the following characteristics:
1) Simple equipment (including power supply, plating pen, plating solution and pump, rotary table, etc.), flexible process, convenient operation.
2) Local plating of large forgings can be carried out.
3) Safe operation, low pollution to the environment, high productivity.
4) High bonding strength of coating. It also has good bonding strength on chin, aluminum, chromium, copper, high alloy steel and graphite.
Brush plating process: surface preprocessing, cleaning degreasing and pound removal, electric cleaning treatment, activation treatment, bottom plating, plating size coating and working coating, cleaning and coating anti-rust solution after plating. The results show that brush plating can make the surface of the die have good red hardness, wear resistance and oxidation resistance, and prolong the life of the die by 50% ~ 200%. Brush plating used in cold mold can make the surface of the mold have high hardness and good adhesion resistance, can greatly improve the life of cold mold.
General brush coating is crystal, if the use of special plating solution to obtain amorphous coating, can make the coating has excellent physical, chemical and mechanical properties, can greatly improve the service life of forgings.
2. Chemical plating surface strengthening technology for stainless steel forgings
The forgings are placed in the chemical plating solution, and metal ions are reduced and deposited on its surface by obtaining the electrons generated by the chemical reaction in the plating solution. Single metal, alloy, composite and amorphous coatings can be obtained by electroless plating.
Electroless plating is an electrochemical process without applied electric field. Its advantages are: simple equipment, convenient operation; Good plating ability and deep plating ability, with good shape copying (that is, get uniform thickness coating on the surface of the mold with complex shape); The coating is dense and well combined with the matrix, and the forging has no deformation. Electroless plating has been applied to many kinds of forgings, which can prolong the service life of forgings, and play a repairing role when the thermal wear of discarded forgings is not too big and the thermal crack is not too deep, so as to obtain good economic benefits.
