How to choose the forging equipment in the forging factory?

The forging equipment in the forging factory should have large energy and good rigidity.

During cold forging, the forging has a large deformation resistance and the load is relatively concentrated. Therefore, the press of the forging factory needs to have sufficient deformation energy and good rigidity.

Good guide device. The precision of the forging is high, and the equipment and die guide should be strengthened.

There should be an ejector. There is a large adhesion between the forging and the die, and the ejection force is about 10% of the nominal pressure.

There should be a reliable overload safety device. It is easy to overload during the forging process, especially for mechanical presses with fixed stroke, which must have an overload safety device.

Appropriate extrusion speed. After the upper die contacts the metal billet, the forging speed should be kept uniform, generally 0.1-0.4m/z.

Common equipment for cold forging and cold extrusion: general hydraulic press. General mechanical press. Special hydraulic press. Special mechanical press. Special multi-station cold forging press.

There are two major categories of cold forging presses: mechanical presses and hydraulic presses. Mechanical presses are of toggle type and eccentric type with fixed stroke, suitable for small and medium-sized parts with large batches. Hydraulic presses have non-fixed stroke, suitable for medium and large annular forgings. Special presses have better cold forging and cold extrusion functions, and have mechanized and automated interface devices. They have currently developed from single-station to multi-station, and the equipment tonnage has reached more than 20,000KN.
