Mould manufacturing for forging wheels

Effective control of forging die manufacturing quality is an important factor to ensure that the forging meet the quality requirements.

1) The manufacturing process specification of wheel forgings die is based on die design drawing and quality standards and technical documents related to forging die manufacturing. Therefore, machining process personnel must be familiar with die design drawings and related process requirements, and familiar with the types of existing machine tools in the factory and die workshop, performance parameters and current accuracy level, correctly formulate the forging die processing technology. The forging die manufacturing problem is very important to the quality of wheel forgings.

2) The technical level of mold fitters is also an important factor. No matter with the traditional ordinary milling machine or die milling machine, or with the new electric pulse machine tool or CNC machine tool machining out of the groove, finally rely on the die repair pliers with compressed air (or electricity) driven by the hand-held shaped grinding wheel to complete the last modification polishing process. Directly designing and manufacturing plates is vital to ensure the quality of directly forging wheels. This includes the proper location of the section in which plates are directly placed. Generally speaking, THE DIMENSIONAL accuracy of the template should be much higher than that of the forging groove, the tolerance of the former is only 1/5 of the latter. The sample should also have high hardness and low surface roughness.

3) For wheel forging die with complex shape, it is generally necessary to get the sample by filling lead or pressing wax, and then check whether the dimensional accuracy of the sample meets the requirements of the wheel forging diagram. The final manufacturing quality of the die can only be determined after several forgings are forged with it under actual production conditions and these wheel forgings are checked.
